HENNIKER, N.H. – The New England College men's lacrosse team would net nine first quarter goals en route to the eventual 26-0 victory over Lyndon Friday afternoon.
With the win the Pilgrims close out their regular season with an overall record of 12-3 and a NAC record of 7-1. With the loss the Hornets finish their season with an overall record of 2-13 and a NAC record of 2-6.
In addition to the nine opening quarter goals the Pilgrims would put in seven second quarter goals building a 16-0 lead at halftime. The NEC offense would continue to dominate play in the second half as they would tack on five goals in both the third and fourth quarters.
NEC finished the game out shooting Lyndon 69-17 and held the 40-12 advantage in ground balls.
NEC's Koda-Wataka Robinson led all scorers finishing with seven goals and an assist. Both Adam Shute and Nick Herzog registered four goals on the afternoon, while Skyler Saunders netted two goals and dished out two assists.
Leading the Pilgrims at the midfield position was Pat Miles (Brampton, Ontario) who picked up 11 ground balls.
Three different Pilgrims saw time in net, including Chris Galluzzo, who recorded three saves, Cody Kitson who made two saves; and Kyle Merck, who notched seven saves.
Leading the way for Lyndon was Billy Bazyk (Manchester, Vt.) who recorded six shots.
Three different Hornets saw time in net, including Marcus Bessette (Pembroke, N.H.), who made eight saves and Matthew Reynolds (New Fairfield, Conn.), who recorded 10 saves.
