Henry succeeded Mary Lou Bell, who retired as head women's tennis coach at Lyndon State after 10 years, in 2009. She coached the Lady Hornets for two seasons in the early-90s after playing a number of years competitively in the late 80s and early 90s in a series of women’s tennis leagues.

In addition to her playing career, she has also taught tennis at Lyndon in both the physical education teacher certification and recreational sports programs for several years.

As a collegiate athlete, Henry played basketball at the University of Massachusetts, a NCAA Division I institution, as well as Southern Connecticut State Universiity. In addition to her teaching and coaching duties, she is also the Intramural Athletic Director and Athletic Facility Supervisor at Lyndon.
